The Naga, commonly depicted as a Cobra in Buddhist sutras and myths, usually are wise and beneficent. Among the notable nagas of Buddhist tradition is Mucalinda, Nagaraja and protector of the Buddha.

In the Vinaya Sutra, shortly after his enlightenment, the Buddha is meditating in a forest when a great storm arises, but graciously, King Mucalinda gives shelter to the Buddha from the storm by covering the Buddha's head with his seven snake heads. Then the king takes the form of a young Brahmin and renders the Buddha homage.

How To Measure

  • 1 Sleeve (Garment Measurement)

    Sleeve length measured center back of neck to end of sleeve.

  • 2 Chest / Bust

    Measure at the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

  • 3 Waist

    Measure at the smallest part of your waist. This is usually below the rib cage and above the hip bone.

  • 4 Hip

    Measure at the fullest part of your seat, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

  • 5 Outseam (Garment Measurement)

    Measured from top of the waistband to the hemline.

  • 6 Inseam (Garment Measurement)

    Measured from the crotch of pants down to the hem of the pants leg.
