I work as a teacher in a school that was originally designed to be a furniture warehouse and then was briefly a grocery store, so it is safe to say that when it was renovated into a school, there really wasnโt much thought about how best to arrange desks and bookshelves and computersโit was pretty much put it wherever there is space. While I love my job, I feel a negative vibe walking into my classroom because my desk area is a mess of jumbled cords for all sorts of electronics that run out of the wall at various places and along the floor to wherever they need to go. This makes it difficult to hang educational posters or artwork because the outlets (which occur at any height on the wall) are literally everywhere. Suddenly I got the idea to try covering up the area with a tapestryโit is fabric so it can easily bend around the outlets and large so it can cover the whole wall and it has greatly improved the feeling the space! I no longer walk in a see a mess that I have no control over, but instead a beautiful design that I find calming and uplifting!
