Love the Bamboo Close Fit Long Sleeve Tees

I purchased two tees (black and brown) in late Dec. 2025. I have worn them weekly as a staple piece under sweaters, vests and jackets. They serve as a great layering piece as well as a stand-alone staple. They are a thin material but not see through, which is great. The tees wash and dry well and the bamboo is very soft on the skin. Whereas this was my first Sivana purchase, it won't be my last.

Lovely fabric but

While the fabric feels amazing, the sleeves pull up a bit and are too short for me. Perhaps I just referred the wrong long sleeve black shirt. I have another that I love. I will look online again. I will rerun this one. I love the one I already have and wanted to buy another.

How does bamboo feel compared to cotton?

Softer and smoother. Up close, cotton fibers are flat and twisted with tiny fuzzy ends, which gives cotton its slightly dry, textured feel. Bamboo viscose fibers are round and smooth, so the fabric feels silky, drapes instead of standing stiff, and feels cool the moment you put it on.

Will it stay soft?

Yes. Bamboo gets softer with each wash, where cotton can feel stiffer over time, especially when it's line dried.

Is bamboo cooler or warmer than cotton?

It breathes well and draws moisture away from your skin, so it feels cooler and less clingy than cotton on warm days. When it's cold, it layers easily under a cardigan or wrap.

What is bamboo viscose? Is it the same as rayon?

Yes, same thing. Bamboo is broken down into pulp and spun into a fine, smooth fiber. Viscose and rayon are two names for that process.

How do I care for it?

Machine wash cold on gentle with a mild detergent, then tumble dry low or hang to dry. Skip bleach and fabric softener (it doesn't need it). Heat can shrink bamboo, so cool and gentle keeps it true to size.
